Itinerary:

Day 1: Addis Ababa City Tour

• Morning: Pick up from your hotel and start the city tour. Visit the National Museum, home to the famous fossil “Lucy” and other archaeological finds.
• Late Morning: Head to the Holy Trinity Cathedral, an architectural masterpiece and one of Ethiopia’s most important religious sites.
• Afternoon: Visit the Ethnological Museum and the Palace of Emperor Haile Selassie.

Day 2: Lake Debre Zeyit and Lake Bishoftu

• Morning: Drive to Debre Zeyit (Bishoftu), located about 50 km from Addis Ababa.
• Visit: The scenic lakes of Bishoftu, including Lake Bishoftu, Lake Hora, and Lake Adama. You can enjoy activities such as boat rides, bird watching, and picnicking.
• Afternoon: Explore the area further, visit a local village, and enjoy lunch by the lake.
• Evening: Return to Addis Ababa.

Day 3: Lake Tana & Surroundings

• Explore: Visit the monasteries on the islands of Lake Tana. The tour includes a boat ride on the lake, and visiting historic monasteries like Ura Kidane Meheret and Kibran Gabriel.
• Afternoon: Visit the Blue Nile Falls (also known as “Tis Issat Falls”) on your way back to Addis Ababa.
• Evening: Return to Addis Ababa for the end of the tour.
